If you've driven by Jones AT&T Stadium recently, you probably noticed it's become a work zone and not for the football players.
Construction is well underway to enclose the north side of the stadium.
A colonnade, consisting of 11 columns, will be constructed to match the east and west sides of the Jones and will create an "arena-type" feel to the stadium.
A new video board and sound system are also going in.
Vice Chancellor for Facilities Planning and Construction, Michael Molina, said more than 500 seats will be created, along with an observation deck.
He added the new video board will be more than five times the size of the one that currently sits above the Texas Tech Ticket Office.
The north side expansion project will cost $16 million.
Molina said the entire project is scheduled to be complete by August 4th.
