On Gun Appreciation Day people are urged to go to gun shops, gun shows, and shooting ranges with American flags and signs that say 'Hands off my Guns' to protest President Obama's proposed gun laws.

The news laws would require a more strict background check including mental history and a ban on selling "high powered rifles".

Steve Farley at Cornerstone Tactical Institute says that people confused semi-automatic weapons for automatic weapons and the ban of some rifle sales won't stop people from having the same amount of fire power from a different gun.

The Gun Appreciation Day group is also encouraging people to contact their congressman for support.
