Ruby Tanner was an early supporter of Barack Obama and when he won the election in 2008 she knew she had to get to Washington D.C to see his inauguration ceremony.
Ruby was standing in the freezing winter cold for 6 hours packed in a crowd but she said it was worth every moment.
"If I could tell you 4 years ago in that crowd we were together, we were brothers and sisters, black, white, red and yellow."
Ruby couldn't get to the inauguration this year but she will be watching from home.
