I'm a native from Ballinger, a small West Texas town between Abilene and San Angelo.  I bled Red and Black then and continue to bleed Red and Black with the Red Raiders. I have always been and always will be a West Texas girl!  I received my B.A. in Communication from Angelo State University and my background includes Sales, Human Resources, Public Relations and Promotions. In 2005, the station found me doing Promotions, Marketing, Concerts and Events out at Buffalo Springs Lake in Lubbock and immediately asked me to anchor the KAMC 28 show Good Morning Lubbock.

About a year and a half later I moved to KLBK and become co-anchor for the evening newscasts. Being able to tell our viewers about the news of the day is something I take pride in.  I have a love for talking...and I really enjoy meeting new people.  I can honestly say I have yet to meet a stranger. I have two daughters, Madison & Jaelyn, a step-son Brandon and am blessed to have my wonderful husband Wade.  Family is my number one priority and I'm lucky to work in an industry where both work and family can be a priority.

When I'm not at work or home I'm probably involved with some organizations I feel most passionately about.  West Texas MDA, Lubbock Chapter of the American Heart Association, The Susan G. Koman Foundation and finding a cure for Breast Cancer, March of Dimes, the Lubbock Alzheimer's Association, Meals on Wheels, and CASA of the South Plains.  I most recently was elected to the Board of Directors for CASA.  Something else I feel very passionate about is the more than four-thousand children in Texas alone that are in Foster Care.  As a Foster Parent myself, I can tell you that more caring, loving, and giving families are needed.  Consider becoming a Foster parent!  We just adopted a beautiful child and she is more of a blessing to us than we are to her.

Then with any leftover time I have...I enjoy movies, reading, football, playing board games with my kids, crafting things, scrapbooking, knitting and redecorating my house. Family time is very important to me. If you have a story idea click here to email me.
