From KHOU:

Dozens of law enforcement officers are searching for a second suspect on the loose. They are searching a wooded area north of the campus.

One witness saw one male being brought out of the library on a stretcher. He was reportedly handcuffed to the stretcher, according to witnesses.

At least one woman was being treated by EMS crews outside the library.

Other crews were entering the library with stretchers.

Just before 1 p.m. several people were evacuated from the library and other areas of campus.

The shooting happened around 12:30 p.m. at the campus in the 2700 block of W.W. Thorne Drive, near Bush Intercontinental Airport.

We were able to speak to one student at Lone Star, Monica Thompson, who is a Lubbock native.  She walked into the same building as the shooter just moments after gunfire. She said there is nothing that can compare to the feeling of uncertainty. She was not only worried for her life but also the life of her three-year-old daughter who she has raised on her own.

"You just can't fathom that someone can take your life away from your child. That is the ultimate thought. For me, oh my God, if I was in the wrong place at the wrong time they could've taken the only thing that she knows," said Thompson.

Several Aldine ISD schools are also on lockdown while the search for the suspect continues. They are Nimitz High School, Nimitz 9th Grade Campus, Parker Intermediate and Dunn Clifford Elementary.
