Tech Baseball Hit The Practice Field For The 2013 Season

The Texas Tech baseball team held its first official team practice for the 2013 season on Friday at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park with nearly perfect weather conditions with temperatures in the mid-60's.
 
"We've had some great weather, our players and coaches are ready to go," first-year head coach Tim Tadlock said. "We are looking forward to getting practice in today, see our alumni tonight and tomorrow and really excited to have our alumni game tomorrow."
 
Tech held its first team practice today, and tomorrow will take on its alumni in the fourth-annual Texas Tech Alumni Game scheduled for 1 p.m. at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
 
The Red Raiders enter the 2013 season with nine returning players and 27 newcomers on its roster.
 
Opening Day is only three weeks away as the Red Raiders will open their 2013 schedule hosting the fourth-annual Brooks Wallace Memorial Classic, Feb. 15-17. Tech will start the season taking on Northern Illinois on Opening Day at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15 at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
