Fillies Overcome 2nd Half Deficit for Close Win

It was a great matchup Friday night between two top 25 teams as Estacado tried to rebound from a loss against Levelland. A huge District 2-3A matchup.
Estacado with the lead at the half and starting strong in the third period, Aaliyah Bailey off the inbounds pushes the Lady Mats lead to 10, 35-25.
But the Fillies came storming back. Morgan Bennett gets the nice floater in the lane here and Shallowater is back within five.
Later in the 4th, Kelsee Smith found Rebekah Jones underneath who goes up strong for the hoop and the harm. She would make the free throw and its now a one point game.
Sharon Harkey gave Shallowater the lead from the free throw line, and they would not give it back as the Fillies got the huge come from behind win over the 12th ranked Lady Mats 45-41, to stay tied atop District 2-3A with Cooper at 6-1.
