Miss Texas Accepts Soldier's YouTube Invite To Military Ball

A Lubbock soldier has asked Miss Texas to take the plunge and go with him to a military ball this weekend.

The swooning soldier posted this YouTube video, Click here to watch the entire video, asking Miss Texas to the ball at the Overton Hotel.

The video is called, "Invitation to Miss Texas" and more than 100 views were recorded just hours after the video was posted.

Well we talked to Miss Texas -- DaNae Couch this Monday afternoon and she told us even though they've never talked or met, she knows her and Luke Guffey will have a good time at the ball.

"It has been clear in my schedule to make it out to Lubbock to attend the military ball this weekend," said Couch.

Here's what she said when we asked her if she has talking to Guffey.... "No," she said laughing, "I actually haven't, so if he is listening right now he should email my business manager at businessmanager@misstexas.org so we can finalize all of the last minute things to make sure I can make it out to Lubbock."

Couch was as semi-finalist in this year's Miss America pageant.

She is currently in Dallas fulfilling her Miss Texas duties, she will then return to Lubbock to finish law school at Texas Tech.
