State Farm Survey shows most people unprepared for a car emergency

Drivers tended to have more "junk" in their trunk like kids toys, gym equipment, and various odds and ends than emergency supplies.
The essential emergency supplies you should have in your trunk are a pair of jumper cables along with a spare tire and tire jack. You should also have a first aid kit, reflective triangles, a phone charger, bottled water, non perishable food items, a blanket and a flash light.
It takes a few minutes to check your trunk for supplies and most of the items listed can be found at a neighborhood super store.
