There was a great Ladies basketball game in Woodrow last night as the Lady Pirates of Cooper looked to bounce back from their loss on Friday.

They were taking on 18th ranked Estacado, who beat Cooper last time they got together.

In the 3rd quarter, Kyanna Walton found Aaliyah Briley for the three ball, as Estacado took the 7 point lead, 55-48.

In the 4th, Haley Brudeigam knocked down a jumper to pull the lady pirates within 3.

But Estacado pushed it down to the other end, wasting no time, and Briley hit again from distance, making it a six point game.

But Cooper rallied, as Katy Boren hit one from way beyond the arc, to get it back to a three point game. On the inbounds Clair Shaver got a steal, and made it a one point game.

Cooper would not look back as they get the win and clinch the top seed in the district by virtue of Shallowater's loss to Levelland, and they are Co-district Champions.
