A Lubbock man is behind bars for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a minor.

According to court documents, the mother of an 11-year-old girl contacted Lubbock police after she discovered sexually explicit text messages and pictures on her daughter's cell phone.

Further investigation revealed Njeazeh Roderigue Ambeabet, 24, had asked the 11-year-old to personally meet him to have sexual intercourse.

Court documents go on to say Ambeabet admitted to authorities he was engaging in an inappropriate texting relationship with the 11-year-old and that he knew her age.
