1. Body Believed to be Fugitive Ex-Cop Removed From Cabin

The body of a man believed to be fugitive ex-cop Chris Dorner has been removed from a cabin in California. The man was barricaded inside the burning cabin Tuesday after a shootout in the mountain town.

2. Obama Pledges to Revive Middle Class

President Obama pledged to revive a "rising, thriving middle class" in his State of the Union address on Tuesday night. He also called for a "smarter government," rather than a bigger one.

3. Carnival Cruise Officials Apologize for Ship Crisis

Carnival Cruise officials apologized Tuesday for the crisis onboard the Carnival Triumph, the ship stranded in the Gulf of Mexico after a fire. The cruise line said it will get the 4,200 passengers onboard -- who have reported worsening conditions -- home as quickly as possible.

4. Earthquake Hits Rural Nevada

A moderate earthquake hit rural Nevada late Tuesday afternoon near the California border. The U.S. Geological Survey says the 4.9 magnitude quake was followed by two smaller ones. There were no immediate reports of damage.

5. Banana Joe Wins Best in Show

An Affenpinscher named Banana Joe was crowned Best in Show at Westminster on Tuesday night. It's the first time the breed has won. Banana Joe is now retired.
