It' early in the girls high school basketball playoffs, but we already have one team that is putting in a bid to be this years Cinderella story.

Having already lost to Amarillo High by 14 points back in December, the Lady Plainsmen got their revenge on Tuesdaay, upsetting the 12th ranked team in the State in the Bi-District round.

Free throws and Defense led the Lady Plainsmen to a 57-51 win over Amarillo High, surprising everyone but Monterey.

Now with an upset under their belt and a boosted confidence, the ladies are looking forward.

The girls head to Pecos, Texas on Friday for a 6 o'clock tip against El Paso Hanks. At Monterey High School.
