Texas Tech Meat Judging Team Hoping for an undefeated Spring

The Texas Tech Meat Judging Team has 10 National Championships and is hoping to get their 11th this year. They are on the path to a championship with an undefeated season so far.
In the
Meat Judging competition the 21 team members inspect beef, pork, and lamb for
quality and imperfections.

used in their practices is cut and sold as Raider Red Meats at campus eatery
Cowamongus, United Supermarkets, and restaurants in
The team
meets at 4 am on Friday and Saturday and is adding 3 more practices to their
schedule this week to prepare for the
Junior Mallory Jones said Meat Judging is fun in school but she also hopes to make it her career.
"And so that's a good way to make connections, you know, for the future. This is something I want to do for the rest of my life. I totally enjoy it, it's so much fun."
