The girls high school playoffs began last week, and this week its the boys turn, and a few teams getting started early including the Cooper Pirates.

Cooper taking on Pamapa tonight up in Canyon.

In the first 1st. Pampa's Ty Hutton knocked down the three, and Pampa took the 5-2 lead.

Later in the first though Cooper's Brent Carlton kicked it out to Michell Gilles from downtown, and he knotted things at 5.

But Pampa not phased as Cade Engle made the bounce pass to Gabe Garcia under basket, and he took a spin for the lay up.

Cooper at both ends as Dakota Strickland got the steal ahead to Stetson Smitherman for the lay up and tied the game at 7 a piece...

But Pampa proved to be too much for the Pirates as their season comes to an end with a 68-53 loss.
