Coach Paul Fioroni and Tech parents met with several council members on Friday. Councilmen Todd Klein and Paul Beane said they are willing to take another look at allowing Tech Hockey to lease out the City bank Coliseum. Both Klein and Beane voted along with councilmen John Leonard, Jim Gilbreath and Mayor Tom Martin to not renew Tech's rental contract. Council members Linda DeLeon and Floyd Price, both Tech Hockey supporters, will be holding a town hall meeting at Lubbock City Hall on Monday to hear from the community.

Tech fans showed up in large numbers Friday night at the Tech/OU hockey game. Tech will take on OU one more time Saturday night. The match could be their last in Lubbock.
