Residents Displaced After West Lubbock Apartment Fire

Firefighters spent several hours battling an apartment fire Sunday night.

Officials say flames were seen shooting out of a window at the Canyon Crossing Apartments near West Loop 289 and Iola.

Several apartment units were evacuated.

Two units were destroyed by the fire.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Several people were forced to find another place to stay overnight.

No word, yet, on what started the fire.
