Multiple Accidents Reported Across the City Due to Icy Roads

Around 7 p.m. Monday, EMS and LPD responded to a rollover on S. Loop 289 and the Slide overpass. An EMS ambulance was responding to a call on the Loop, hit a patch of ice, flipped the ambulance, and slid into a concrete barrier.
According to Eric Finley with UMC, the ambulance was not carrying anyone at the time, and only had the two EMS workers in the car at the time.
The two are currently listed in serious condition and are being treated at UMC.
Another accident on the West Loop Monday night, an SUV was found hanging over the side of the overpass.
There were no injuries reported in that accident.
