Highway 114 rivals, Morton and Smyer met up for a chance to go to the regional tournament.

The Indians won the tip but didn't like the result of their first possession after Brennen Fowler sent their first attempt out of bounds with an emphatic rejection. He followed that up, giving the Bobcats the early momentum with a turnaround bucket on the other end to give Smyer a 2-0 lead.

Morton stayed calm, weathering the storm and unleashing a barrage of three-pointers. First, Brandon Chavez hit a long one from the corner. Then, Kalin Bracken dropped in another to cap off an 8-0 run to make it 14-6.

And Smyer went on to win, 64-61.
