Texas Tech lost 6-5 to La Salle on Friday night at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park in 12 innings.

The Red Raiders fall to 5-5 on the season while La Salle improves to 2-3.

It marks the Red Raiders first loss at home this season and their second extra-inning loss of the year.

The Red Raiders will take on La Salle tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. in game two of a three-game series.

Junior RHP Trey Masek will get the start for the Red Raiders.

- Sophomore 2B Bryant Burleson extended his hit streak to 10 games... he is the first Red Raider to have a 10-game hit streak to last season when Jamodrick McGruder had an 11-game hit streak.

- Sophomore RHP Dominic Moreno struck out five batters in five innings while improving his season strikeout total to 20... His 20 strikeouts are the most by a Red Raider through their first three career starts since 2011 (Daniel Coulombe - 22).

- Senior RHP Jerad McCrummen pitched a career-high four shutout innings while striking out two.

- Texas Tech turned three double plays in the game - that total marked a season-high.
