Red Raiders Fall 79-42 To The Jayhawks

The Texas Tech Men's basketball team is coming off their 3rd win of the season in fort worth against TCU, and they had to turn right around and play the big 12 leading Kansas Jayhawks.

Phog Allen Field House, fan rocked for the Jayhawk's seniors on senior night.

In the first half Kansas came out on fire, even the big guy Jeff Whithey knocked down the jumper capping a 7-0 run to start for Kansas.

Out of a timeout though, Josh Gray hit a runner and tech cut the lead to 7-2, Kansas.

But Tech hanged in strong early as Jaye Crockett threw down the hammer alley-oop, and Tech came within 3 at 13-10.

Then the Jayhawks exploded. They would go on a 19-2 run, putting on an areal display

Red Raiders fell to Kansas 79-42 and they will close out the regular season on Saturday against Texas at the Untied Spirit Arena.
