The Texas Tech men were coming off their 3rd Big 12 win of the season in Fort Worth against TCU, and they had to turn right around and play the Big 12 leading Kansas Jayhawks.

Phog-Allen field house was rocking for the jayhawk seniors on senior night.

In the first half Kansas came out on fire, even the big guy Jeff Whithey knocked down a jumper capping a 7-0 run to start for Kansas.

Out of a timeout though, Josh Gray got a runner to go to stop the bleeding, but Kansas still led 7-2.

But Tech hung around early as Jaye Crocket threw down the hammer alley-oop, and tech was within 3 at 13-10.

But then the Jayhawks would explode, as they would go on a 19-2 run, putting on an areal display, and that would be it for Texas Tech, as they fall to Kansas 79-42 and they will close out the regular season on Saturday against Texas at the Untied Spirit Arena.
