A Levelland man was struck and killed while riding his bike Wednesday afternoon.
DPS troopers say 72-year-old Earl Paul Nichols was killed in the crash that happened around 4:00 p.m.
Troopers say Nicholas was hit by a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by Isavel Navarro, also of Levelland.
Friends and family of Nichols came to the scene after the accident, many appeared shocked and saddened at his death.
One friend said Nicholas rode his bike frequently, often doing for rides that would span more than 20 miles at a time.
