Rotary Club Donates Thousands To Frenship Food Program

By: Allison Morrison
Updated: March 7, 2013
Through the collaborative efforts of Frenship Independent School District and the Rotary Club of Lubbock, students in need will not have to worry about eating nutritious meals during spring break.

The Rotary Club of Lubbock purchased more than $9,000 of food in support of the Frenship I.S.D. Backpacks for Food program.

The program is designed to provide backpacks that are filled with nutritious, easy-to-prepare foods for students and families throughout a weekend.

The food donated by the Rotary Club of Lubbock will not only sustain families for the upcoming weekend, March 9-10, but through week of spring break, March 11-15.

United Supermarkets will be delivering the purchased food to each campus.
