In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded for Monterey and Jake Hohenburger lifts this one deep to left and is robbed on a tremendous catch by Permian, but it was deep enough to drive in the first run of the game making it 1-0.

Later in the same inning, Blake Walden was able to get out of the way, as the pitch got to the back stop and Kirby Archer comes in to score, 2-0 Monterey.

The Plainsmen went on to win this one by a final of 13-2, they get back in action next Saturday against the Cooper Pirates.
