Five Teens Killed In Weekend Wreck Near Dumas

Five teenagers were killed in a wreck outside of Dumas.

It happened Sunday afternoon, near the intersection on FM 1284 and Morton Elevator Rd.

Officials say a Chevy was driving down FM 1284, when the driver ran the stop sign and was hit by a semi. 

The deceased include Jacob Paul Stipe, 16, and Christoper Lee Moore, 17, of Sunray; October Dawn Roys, 17, and Elizabeth Kay Roys, 15, both of Dumas; and Derrek Lee Hager, 17, of Stratford.

The driver of the semi, Ezequel Melecio Garcia, of Amarillo, was taken to Lubbock in critical condition with severe burns.
