There's new information on the controversial decision by the Cit of Lubbock to not renew its contract with Texas Tech Hockey. Some council members say the hockey team should have renewed their contract last spring, but the contract states that Tech Hockey only had to provide written notice of their intent to renew five months prior to September 1.

KLBK uncovered several emails dating back to January of this year between Tech Hockey and Civic Lubbock officials discussing match dates, negotiations and intentions. No word form the council on this information, and no word whether or not Tech Hockey will use this to keep their old contract.
