Sunday night KAMC went behind stage with Bon Jovi's lead guitarist and songwriter, Richie Sambora.
Bon Jovi's new album, What About Now, has reached number one on America's top albums.
The tour titled, Because We Can, is taking the band through North America, Canada, Europe, Japan, South Africa, Brazil and Australia.
The band performed at the United Sports Arena in Lubbock on Sunday night at 7:30 pm to a packed auditorium.
KAMC went behind stage with the band's management coordinator, Mike Javas, who showed some of our crew Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora's guitar layer. He showed us some of the guitars that are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars as well as the newest graphics on stage.
The band even allowed several lucky local college students to help the crew prepare for the show.
We spoke to Richie Sambora in his guitar layer about the new album and what inspires him as a songwriter and musician.
"Jon and I wrote this record together," said Sambora. "And the greatest thing about it, I think the most important thing about it and the best things about it is showing our new songs to our audience."
He said the album was inspired when they were on their last tour.
"So when john and I got together to write this record we were kind of feeling what we were feeling domestically here in America. It's not political or financially driven but it's about how people are feeling and what it was doing with their spirit."
