A 21-year-old Littlefield man will serve 15 years in prison for running a red light and killing two sisters back in March of 2007.

In a plea deal on Thursday, Christopher Simpson plead guilty to two counts of manslaughter and admitted to using dangerous drugs at the time of the crash, in exchange for the 15 year sentence.  He faced up to 20 years total. Simpson ran a red light in March of last year near 19th and MLK, smashing into 18-year-old Jocelyln Tillman and her 14-year-old sister JoAnn McDaniel.  Both girls died from their injuries. Simpson will be eligible for parole after serving a quarter of his sentence.  The girls' family and the DA's office says they will fight in the coming years to make sure he has to serve the entire sentence.
