The unfortunate events that led to Daniel Green's death are already haunting those who knew him. Daniel Green was well known throughout the Lubbock community, especially the music community. An avid musician, he played the drums in the Coronado High School Marching Band.

He was a member of the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra for four years and played the drums in a band. Green graduated from Coronado High in 2002.

The Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra Director, Janeen Gilliam, describes him as one of their most talented and wonderful musicians that ever played with the orchestra.

"He has a heart as big as the state of Texas and would have done anything for anybody and loved his family, his friends, his music, just a wonderful young man," Gilliam says.
