The pro-alcohol sales group says they have more than enough signatures to get packaged alcohol sales in the City of Lubbock on the ballot after only a little more than two weeks of petitioning.

The group says they have 35,000 signatures and by their verification service, more than 25,000 are valid.

State law requires 35 percent of the number of voters from the last governor's election.

That's 18,747.

Now they must turn those numbers over to the County Elections Office for confirmation.

Let Lubbock Vote hopes to have the issue put to a vote in next May.
