Lower Gas Prices Helping Meals On Wheels Volunteers

With gas prices sinking lower and lower, they sure are helping out everyone's wallets, including the volunteers from Meals on Wheels!
High gas prices certainly weren't helping the volunteers who spend their time helping others. They take their own cars on a specific route everyday, heading to around a dozen houses to deliver meals, but as the gas prices have come down, it's made the drive much less costly. And the folks at Meals on Wheels have done their best to make the routes as efficient as possible for their volunteers.
Says volunteer volunteer Vance Gipson, "It's designed so that it takes a minimum of driving and a minimum of effort, so they really work on it to save gas for everybody and to save time too."
Says Volunteer Kent Clark, "It's a wonderful way to give back to your community, and it's a total local charity, so come out and volunteer, you'll never miss the gas."
