The big story is the football game that's the talk of the state and the college football world: Tech and Texas on Saturday night.

And Texas Tech's Athletic Department is also laying out a 'gameplan' to try and help Saturday's mayhem run smoothly.

The Texas Tech Athletic Department held a press conference Wednesday, to tell fans everything they need to know for Saturday's big game at the Jones.

As you probably already know, ESPN College GameDay will be on campus.

Hosts Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard will be taping at the Engineering Key, North of Memorial Circle, on campus.

They'll be taping Friday between 3:45 and 5:00 p.m. and then again on Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The staging area will open at 7:00 a.m.

On Saturday, the gates to the Jones will open at 5:00 p.m. and kickoff is at 7:00.

"Understand that parking is going to be an issue.  If you do not have football game parking, it's going to involve probably a little bit of walking, but unfortunately it's a gameday and there's a really nothing that we can do about that, but it's an issue that happens on every college campus everywhere," Blayne Beal with Texas Tech Athletics says.
