This weekend's game is garnering national attention, and it's the most publicized game in Tech's history. So before any pandemonium, Tech athletics called a press conference today with a game plan for Saturday.

Of course parking is going to be a tough find, so get here early. But not too early -- if you park in a paid football parking spot Friday night, your car will be towed Saturday morning.

And the big excitement is all about ESPN Gameday being here. They'll start taping friday afternoon between 3:45 and 5 p.m. and the Saturday morning show begins at 9 a.m.

They'll be set up at the Engineering Key, that's north Memorial circle.

Now -- the current turnout record is held by the University of Nebraska with 17,000 fans... but there's no reason that can't be Red Raider title!

Blayne Beal, Associate Director, Media Relations: "Certainly for Texas Tech, we like to say everything is better in Texas, bigger in Texas, so we would certainly like to have that new record so if we can find 17,000 people, Texas Tech can hold the record for attendance at college gameday."

For more information on parking, tailgating, etc. go to Tech's Website and click on 'Gameday Central.' There they will have maps of free parking, as well off campus spots.
