Fake Tickets Cost Football Fans Hundreds

The biggest football game in Texas Tech history resulted in heartbreak for nearly 500 fans.
They missed out on the excitement because they unknowingly bought counterfeit tickets.
The only visible difference between a real and a counterfeit ticket is a slight variation in color.
Folks at the Texas Tech Ticket Office recommend you always be cautious of ticket scalpers.
"I had a fan recommend that somebody take a picture, you know, with the person that sold them the ticket. Maybe even exchange contact information, have that person, have them call your cell phone from their cell phone," Jarod Huddleston with the ticket office says.
Huddleston says they've never had an issue with counterfeit tickets before Saturday's game, but they expect to see more counterfeit tickets this Saturday because the game against Oklahoma State is already sold out.
