Texas Tech's number two ranking isn't just getting Lubbock's name out into the national spotlight, it's bringing in big bucks to The Hub City. Marcy Jarrett of Visit Lubbock says a home game weekend usually generates around 5 to 7 million dollars of economic impact in Lubbock, and the bigger the game--like this weekend's--the better the chance of our city seeing even more money. Eddie McBride of the Chamber of Commerce says the higher the football ranking, the more national exposure Lubbock gets, which always benefits our community.
