Car Crash Kills Two TTU Sophomores

Tragedy hits Texas Tech. A car accident just north of Houston kills two students and critically injures two others.
DPS officials say around 2:30 Sunday afternoon, a Subaru carrying five Tech students smashed head-on into a pick-up. Officials say the driver, 20-year-old Robert Baigrie, somehow lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic. Sophomores Drew Anderson and Jeff Inns died on impact. Fellow sophomore Chris Munger says he was devastated to hear the news. Munger says, "It's a little scary. It's like wow, Jeff is ... wow ... I mean, I knew him for one year. I didn't think anything like this would happen. It's a bit of a shock. It really puts into perspective, you need to buckle down and be safe now because anything can happen at any time."
Tech Freshmen, Chelsea Wiseman and Marissa Whitworth, both suffered life threatening injuries and remain in critical condition at a Houston hospital. The driver of the Subaru, Baigrie, suffered only minor injuries. The driver of the other car and his 5-year-old son were also not seriously hurt.
