Zoning for alcohol sales will be the topic of discussion for Lubbock City Council tomorrow.

The council is preparing for if and when alcohol sales are put to a vote.

City officials say if this latest petition effort to bring packaged alcohol sales in to the Hub City they want to be ready and avoid making quick zoning decision that could result in big mistakes.

Mayor Tom Martin said the biggest issues of concern is where hard liquor can be sold and drive-thru beer stores.
