A local family is shocked after finding their mother's remains were moved to a different plot at Plainview Cemetery.

A mistake was made back in January, and the remains of Guadalupe Delecruz Lugo were buried in the the wrong plot.

Cemetery workers moved the remains one grave site over to the correct plot.

Family members say they are mortified because no one told them when the remains would be moved.

Leticia Serna said her family would have liked to have been there and a priest could have been called to bless the new plot.

Cemetery officials say they have the right to move remains as long as it is within the confines of the cemetery and that the Lugo family's person of contact was notified.

The Lugos say there was a lack of communication and lawyers are now being brought into the situation.
