Thanksgiving Costs

According to Forbes Magazine, the biggest culprit is the turkey with an average increase of roughly $1.50 for a 16 pound turkey.
Energy costs and tough economic times are the motivators for the price hikes.
There is some good news. Butter, milk and potatoes have taken a price dive and many grocery stores are marking things down to help out during the holidays.
Many families here in Lubbock are resorting to pot-luck style dinners to cut costs.
