Lots of folks here in Lubbock decided to ditch the cooking and dishes and they waited in line for their turkey dinner.

Hundreds turned out at Furr's Restaurant this morning.

They lined up outside the restaurant for a Thanksgiving feast.

And for some, going to Furr's for Thanksgiving has become a tradition.

"It was kind of a family decision, you know, we decided it would be better to not try and cook and have so much left over and so forth and Furr's does a really good job," Grace Wooten says.

Most of the folks we talked to said the best part of spending Thanksgiving at Furr's, no clean up after dinner!
