City worker Kevin Overstreet was relieved of his duties today as head of Emergency Management.

Overstreet will retain his job as head of animal services.

In a human resources complaint, Overstreet stated that this is the latest of a series of actions against him in retaliation of his involvement with the FBI's investigation into the AAG Insurance/City of Lubbock Scandal.

Overstreet also condemned Mayor Tom Martin and Councilman John Leonard for publicly humiliating him over internal matters at animal services.

Mayor Tom Martin has denied any retaliatory acts, but Councilwoman Linda DeLeon believes such tactics have become the norm at City Hall.
