Just 24 hours after learning Texas Tech is heading to Dallas to face Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl, more than 1,000 tickets have flown off the shelves.

Between 6:00 last night and 8:00 this morning, the ticket office sold about 850 tickets.

Then they sold a few thousand more today.

The folks at the ticket office say they're off to a great start.

But if you want tickets, they're warning you to act now because the 17,500 they have are going fast.

"The Dallas area's pretty easy to get to for the majority of our fan base.  You know a lot of them are in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area or over in the eastern part of Texas, so it's pretty easy to get to.  It's a great game with a lot of tradition and I don't think it will be a problem to fill that Bowl up one bit," Jarod Huddleston with the Tech Ticket Office says.

You can also buy your parking passes from Tech when you buy your Cotton Bowl tickets.
