Toys for Tots has a big goal this year, and the Marines need your help to make it a Merry Christmas for local kids. This year's goal is 18,000 toys!

The Marines say there's a much bigger need this year, and they expect around 1200 families to sign up for Toys for Tots, which means, 4 to 5,000 kids are in need of Christmas gifts. To meet that need, the Marines say they need at least 10,000 more toys. It's a big number, but you can help them achieve that goal!!

Lubbockite Shirley Hamilton recently gave a monetary donation: "This is a worthwhile cause, there's so many kids out there, right here in our hometown that need the help that we can give." Says Staff Seargent J.B. Bennett, "We're in a hurt right now, we need toys, we need toys, donations, whatever people are willing to give, we'd love to thave their contributions to the effort."

The mall is not the only place you can give! There are toy drop-off bins set up at the following locations:

  • Toys R Us
  • Sam's Club
  • WalMart locations
  • Pizza Hut
  • Taco Bell
  • Taco Villa
  • Wienerschnitzel
  • UAG (2526 82nd Street Suite A)
