Almost 75 Littlefield employees may be looking for a new job next year, if the city is forced to close the jail.

The Bill Clayton Detention Center currently houses over 300 Idaho inmates and in January, they'll all be taken out of that jail.  Now, the management Geo Group has pulled out too, leaving the jail empty and the employees jobless.  But City Manager Danny Davis says they'll either look for a new management group to bring in new inmates or ideally, they'll sell the facility.  Geo Group manages several other larger  jails across the country.  They said they'll offer any of the Littlefield employees the option to transfer to another location to keep their job.
