Recovering From Water Loss

By: Julie Musgrave
Updated: December 19, 2008

Crews continue to clean-up after Tuesday evening's water main-break near Spur-327 and Frankford. That accident left many businesses in the area without water, and closed for two days.

The good news today is the water's back on, and those businesses that were closed now have the doors open.

Natalie Craig with RegiMen Salon says when water came out of the faucet this morning, it was like Christmas arriving early -- but she wishes it could've happened sooner.

Natalie Craig: "One thing if we could say is try to work things out a little quicker, and make sure that the subcontractors that they do hire know where everything is and located so that we don't have a problem like this again. And people that own small businesses as myself, don't have to struggle again for the next two days or in the future."

Lubbock water officials say it will take several days to repair all the damage and get the area back to normal.
