As the year comes to a close...we're taking a look back at the high crime in 2008.  Lubbock saw nine murders in 2008 and Lubbock police solved all but one.

March kept detectives busy with three murders in three weeks, including one of the biggest of the year...the stabbing of South Plains College student Brad McIver.  Police later found McIver's killer, 19-year-old Nathan Lemer in Missouri.  But one murder still has them searching.  The brutal beating of 29-year-old Monica Adams, a known prostitute, remains unsolved.  In 2007, the number was almost double at sixteen murders.
