The Lubbock couple accused of child endangerment won't lose custody of all their children, at least not permanently.

Gloria Ramirez and Anthony Moya gave up the parental rights for two of their seven children.

Child Protective Services has permanent managing conservatorship of the other five children.

They are in foster care.

If Ramirez and Moya prove they can provide a safe home for the five children, they could possibly return home.

Shawn Vandygriff with CPS says in cases like these, the health and safety of the children involved is their main concern.

"We want to look at each situation and the factors surrounding that situation individually, so there's really not a specific line we look at other than is that home a health or safety hazard for that child," Vandygriff says.

Ramirez and Moya still face criminal charges.

A court date has not been set.
