The Cotton Bowl didn't really deliver the season-ending performance Tech fans were hoping for, but during last night's national championship game -- a consolation.

Since 2004, Pontiac awards one school with a $100,000 dollar scholarship for the Game Changing Play of the Year.

Well -- the amazing play against Texas no one can forget took the honors, Chancellor Hance says the money will allow for more scholarships and recruit promising students, proving things just keep getting better for Texas Tech.

"I watched the game, and I really felt confident that we were going to win. Because if you look at the other plays, I mean, this has been, we've been seeing this every week. And every time you see it, you think, there is nothing more exciting than that play. One second left, and we score against the number 1 team, it was so exciting, and I felt very assured that we were going to win it, and we did."

We also asked about the probability of Michael Crabtree entering the NFL draft, Hance says of course he'd want him to stay for selfish reasons, but realizes that Crabtree's gotta do what's best for him and his family.
