LEDA State of Lubbock's Economy

Despite a grim and almost depression era outlook on the nation's future, economists say Lubbock will weather the current economic crisis well.

Economist Angelos Angelou said Lubbock's slow but steady growth will help it endure and the Hub City could sees some growth.

Angelou said current plans for a privately funded wind energy farm cold be a major factor in Lubbock's success.

"Along with this project will come tremendous opportunities for Lubbock to attract manufacturing companies of wind turbines and every component of a wind turbine," said Angelou.

Angelou also said the Obama may be looking to make his mark in alternative energy and Lubbock could economically benefit.
